Khartoum: Kuwait's Patients Helping Fund Society has launched a surgical camp in Sudan's Khartoum and Kassala states, aiming to perform around 250 specialized operations. The initiative seeks to strengthen healthcare services and improve medical outcomes in the region.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sudan's Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) praised the initiative, highlighting the Fund's vital role in supporting life-saving health services in cooperation with the Sudanese Doctors Association in Qatar (SUDAQ). The collaboration underscores the importance of international partnerships in addressing healthcare challenges.
Executive Director of the Patients Helping Fund Society Abdulmajid Fadlallah reaffirmed the Fund's commitment to developing healthcare services through partnerships, commending Sudanese doctors abroad for their contributions. Fadlallah emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in enhancing the quality and accessibility of medical care.
Hospital officials described the camp as a successful model of Arab health cooperation. At Omdurman Teaching Hospital, the initiative includes 200 procedures over one week, showcasing the potential for impactful healthcare interventions. Kassala Teaching Hospital emphasized its role in capacity building and service localization, aiming to sustain healthcare improvements in the long term.
