Eritrea: Commemoration of Bahti Meskerem and Golden Jubilee of Revolution School Celebrated in Switzerland

Geneva: Nationals in Switzerland enthusiastically commemorated the 65th anniversary of the beginning of the armed struggle for independence and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Revolution School. The event, held in Geneva on 5 September, was attended by members of the Revolution School and heads of national organizations across Switzerland. According to African Press Organization, Mr. Ismail Mohammed-Nur, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, gave a briefing on the significance of the beginning of the armed struggle for independence and the establishment of the Revolution School for the Eritrean people. Mr. Tedros Meles, one of the coordinators of the commemoration of the Revolution School's 50th anniversary, gave a briefing on the school's history and development. He noted that the school, established by the EPLF during a challenging period, had produced committed and proud citizens and congratulated the school's members. The event featured cultural and artistic pres entations reflecting the significance of both anniversaries. Similarly, commemorative events were organized in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, featuring cultural and artistic performances.
