Kuwait Supports EU’s Decision to Lift Sanctions on Syria

Kuwait City: Kuwait has expressed its endorsement of the European Union's recent decision to lift economic sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighting the positive diplomatic relations between Kuwait and Syria.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Permanent Delegation to the United Nations in Geneva voiced deep concern over the worsening health and humanitarian situation in Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The delegation's statement reflects Kuwait's ongoing commitment to addressing critical humanitarian issues in the region.

In Vienna, Kuwait reaffirmed its dedication to human rights and international collaboration, particularly in the fight against human trafficking. This stance underscores Kuwait's proactive role in contributing to global human rights initiatives.

Back in Kuwait, Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel emphasized the government's efforts to implement economic policies aimed at restructuring the national economy. These policies focus on achieving diversification and improving the business environment, reflecting Kuwait's strategic economic vision.

In Washington, Kuwait's Ambassador to the US, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, and CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, met with US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.
