Qatari and Kuwaiti Foreign Ministers Advocate for Dialogue to Ensure Strait of Hormuz Navigation Freedom

Doha: The Qatari and Kuwaiti foreign ministers emphasized the importance of dialogue to ensure freedom of navigation in the strategic Strait of Hormuz. This was discussed during a telephone conversation between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the discussion involved a review of cooperative relations between Qatar and Kuwait, exploring ways to support and strengthen these relations, and addressing recent regional developments. The ministers focused on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce escalation, promoting security and stability in the region. The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated the necessity for all involved parties to engage in dialogue and diplomacy, implementing agreements made within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran.
