Marsa Matrouh: An earthquake measuring 6.2 degrees on the Richter scale struck the northern governorate of Marsa Matrouh early Thursday morning. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damages reported, as confirmed by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the tremor was felt at 6:19 a.m. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 68.91 kilometers. Marsa Matrouh, which is located 240 kilometers west of Alexandria in northern Egypt, experienced the seismic activity that caused concern among residents but resulted in no harm.
