Israeli Occupation Air Strikes on South Lebanon Result in Casualties

Beirut: One person has been killed and four others wounded amid a barrage of Israeli Occupation air strikes across villages in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese health ministry said on Sunday. Israeli Occupation forces continue to carry out air strikes on southern Lebanon, despite a November 2024 ceasefire between Israel and the Hezbollah group that aims to quell the violence along the Israeli-Lebanese border.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ongoing air strikes have raised concerns about the effectiveness of the ceasefire agreement, which was intended to restore peace in the region. The Lebanese health ministry confirmed that the attacks resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to four others, adding to the toll of a conflict that remains unresolved.

The recent escalation highlights the fragile nature of the ceasefire, with both sides accusing each other of violations. The international community has called for restraint and dialogue to prevent further casualties and destabilization in the region. Meanwhile, residents in the affected areas continue to face uncertainty and danger as tensions persist along the border.
