Khartoum: A flight from Port Sudan has landed at Khartoum International Airport on Sunday for the first time since the civil war broke out three years ago. The arrival of the Sudan Airways (Sudanair) flight marks a significant moment in the reopening of the airport, as confirmed by Prime Minister Kamil El-Tayeb Idris, who was aboard the plane.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the airport is now equipped to handle four flights simultaneously. Sudanese authorities are hopeful that this development will soon lead to the resumption of international flights as well.
