Swiss President Guy Parmelin Arrives in Kuwait for Official Visit

Kuwait city: President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin and his accompanying delegation arrived in Kuwait on Sunday evening for an official visit. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah extended a warm welcome to the Swiss President upon his arrival at the airport.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Parmelin was also greeted by several prominent Kuwaiti officials. Among them were the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, the Head of the Diwan of the Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Sheikh Dr. Basel Hamoud Al-Malek Al-Sabah, who serves as the Advisor at the Prime Minister's Diwan and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the president. Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Meshaan, Minister of Public Works and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the president's spouse, also attended the welcoming ceremony, along with Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Sadiq Mohammed Marafi.

The Swiss delegation includes Assistant Foreign Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Monika Schmutz, Member of the Council of States Andrea Caroni, Member of the National Council Roman Hug, and Diplomatic Advisor to the President Simon Pidoux, along with several senior officials from Switzerland.
