Kuwait City: Talks with the United States have resulted in "progress" towards resolving trade concerns, as announced by China following a recent round of discussions between the two nations in London.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng engaged in his initial meeting with US Treasury and Commerce Secretaries Scott Besant and Howard Lutnick, along with US Trade Representative Jameson Greer. This meeting took place under the Beijing-Washington Economic and Trade Consultation Mechanism, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.

The discussions involved a dialogue where both parties exchanged views on economic and trade matters, leading to a "preliminary consensus" on measures designed to implement key agreements achieved by the presidents of both countries during earlier discussions and the outcomes of the Geneva talks.
