World Customs Day Underscores Key Role of Customs in Society Protection

Kuwait city: Director General of Kuwait's General Administration of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif, emphasized the significance of World Customs Day in underlining the crucial role played by customs authorities in safeguarding societies. In a statement released on Sunday, Al-Nuwaif highlighted the dual responsibility of customs in facilitating legitimate trade and combating smuggling, particularly of drug materials.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Nuwaif acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices of the personnel within the General Administration of Customs in Kuwait. The General Administration of Customs is committed to developing national talent and enhancing cooperation with both local and international entities, such as the World Customs Organization, to improve efficiency and address evolving challenges.
