Ramallah: A Palestinian youth was killed early Sunday by gunfire from Israeli occupation forces north of Ramallah in the West Bank, as reported by the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the authority stated in a press release that they had informed the Palestinian Ministry of Health about the death of Ammar Hijazi, 34, from Nablus. Hijazi was reportedly shot by Israeli forces on the main road linking the northern and central West Bank, and his body has since been withheld.
Israeli occupation forces released a statement claiming they had spotted a vehicle traveling at high speed. They opened fire at the vehicle, causing it to collide with a concrete barrier. The forces then transferred Hijazi to an unknown location before notifying the Palestinian side of his death and withholding his body.
