USD 9 Billion Deals Concluded at Turkiye’s IDEF-’25

Ankara: Secretary of the Turkish Defence Industries Dr. Haluk Gorgun announced that the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025 concluded with deals amounting to a total value of USD nine billion. The event, which showcased Turkiye's defense capabilities, ended on a high note with significant agreements highlighting the country's strategic focus on defense exports and innovation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Gorgun shared insights on his X account, emphasizing the fair's role in demonstrating the engineering prowess and strategic resolve of Turkiye's defense industry on a global platform. The 17th edition of the fair brought together 1,491 companies and representatives from 103 countries, marking a significant international presence.

The six-day event, which commenced on Tuesday, attracted over 120,000 visitors and featured the debut of 26 new defense products. Among the products showcased, over 1,100 were exhibited for the first time, reflecting the industry's innovative advancements. Dr. Gorgun noted that a total of 270 deals were finalized during the event, emphasizing the substantial economic impact of these agreements.

He highlighted that 65% of the agreements were export-oriented, underlining Turkiye's commitment to boosting its defense exports. "These figures are not just a fair's balance sheet but a global reflection of our commitment to domestic production and our strategic defense architecture," Dr. Gorgun stated, pointing to the broader implications of these deals for Turkiye's defense industry on the global stage.
