Kuwait city: US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Gaza urgently needs more humanitarian aid, affirming that the US has already sent aid to Gaza and will continue its efforts to make sure the aid crosses the border.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during a press conference prior to his meeting with UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer, Trump mentioned that other countries, including the UK, are continuously trying to send as much aid as they can to Gaza.
Commenting on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks that Gaza is not suffering from famine, Trump labeled the statement inaccurate, citing pictures and videos online showing starving children.
Trump also expressed disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the lack of positive developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, warning that he might reduce the time limit he previously set for Moscow to resolve the conflict.
UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer called the situation in Gaza a humanitarian crisis, expressing that UK citizens are appalled by the online images depicting the dire conditions in the region.
Earlier this month, Trump gave Moscow 50 days to find a solution and end the war with Ukraine, warning that if the deadline is not met, Moscow will face severe economic sanctions.
