US President Warns Iran Deal Needed Soon to Avoid ‘Traumatic’ Consequences

Washington: US President Donald Trump warned on Thursday that a deal with Iran should be reached next month, emphasizing that failure to do so could lead to "very traumatic" outcomes. "We have to make a deal otherwise it's going to be very traumatic, very traumatic. I don't want that to happen, but we have to make a deal," Trump stated to reporters at the White House.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Trump expressed that Iran should have agreed to a deal previously and referenced "Midnight Hammer" as a consequence Iran faced for not doing so. He implied that if a deal is not reached soon, Iran may face similarly severe repercussions. "Look, if they don't make a deal, then uh it'll be a different story," he remarked. When questioned about the timeline for negotiations, Trump suggested that the process should conclude in about a month, indicating an expectation for swift agreement. His comments followed a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier in the day.
