Erbil: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Mohammad Al-Zaman met with officials from Iraq's Kurdistan region to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations and other pertinent issues. According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting took place on Thursday and was centered around strengthening the historical ties between the two regions. The Kurdistan Democratic Party released a statement indicating that Ambassador Al-Zaman held talks with party leader Masoud Barzani. During the meeting, Al-Zaman conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Barzani. The ambassador emphasized the longstanding connections and bonds between the Kuwaiti and Kurdistan peoples, acknowledging the Kurdish people's enduring struggle for freedom. Barzani reciprocated by sending his greetings to His Highness the Amir and the Kuwaiti people. He expressed a desire to deepen the brotherly relations between the two regions and called for enhanced cooperation in various fields. The discussions also cover ed the current circumstances, challenges, and threats in the region, with both parties highlighting the latest political developments in Iraq and Kurdistan.
