Kuwait: Kuwait's Al-Fatat clinched a silver medal in the team table tennis contest of the ongoing Arab Women's Club Games in the UAE emirate of Sharjah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, in what was a tightly-contested affair, the Kuwaiti side's performance was only enough for a second-placed finish, a feat seen as a testament to how far the sport of women's table tennis has come. The competition, touted as the biggest Arab women's sporting contest yet, features some 65 teams from 16 Arab countries competing across nine sports.
