U.S. Plane Crash Black Boxes Recovered

Washington D.C.: The black boxes of a U.S. commercial plane that collided with a military helicopter in Washington D.C. late Wednesday have been found, according to U.S. media reports. The collision involved an American Airlines aircraft carrying 64 passengers and an Army Black Hawk helicopter on a training mission with three soldiers on board.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a preliminary report on the causes of the crash will be issued in 30 days, as cited by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Rescue teams have recovered 27 bodies from the plane and one from the helicopter.

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a memorandum directing the secretary of transport to conduct an immediate assessment of the aviation sector in the country.
