Kuwait City: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Al-Budaiwi sent a message to Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa to congratulate him on assuming the leadership of the country in the transitional stage.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi expressed confidence that President Al-Sharaa's leadership will help realize the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability, and prosperity. The GCC Secretariat made this statement public on Saturday.
Al-Budaiwi renewed the GCC's firm support for the Syrian people during this transitional stage. He also emphasized the organization's commitment to all efforts aimed at maintaining Syria's unity, sovereignty, and independence.
