Sheikh Sabah Al-Abdullah Named Arab Veterans Body First Deputy Chief

Cairo: The Arab Union of War Veterans and Victims of War has named Kuwait's Sheikh Sabah Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah its first deputy president for a fifth term, assigning him the post after general assembly talks in the Egyptian capital on Monday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, assuming the role for a fifth term is a testament to the Arab body's appreciation and respect for Kuwaiti contributions. Sheikh Sabah Al-Abdullah expressed his commitment to diligently work towards achieving the organization's goals and missions.

The pan-Arab body is a non-governmental organization formed to serve veterans and victims of war across the region. It is tasked with the main objective of improving their living conditions and ensuring they receive adequate social security.
