Security Operation Kills 4 Militants in Northern Pakistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: At least four militants were killed in a security operation in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said the military on Saturday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a Pakistani army press release stated that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Bagh in the Khyber district of KPK following reports of militant presence. During the operation, security forces effectively targeted the militants' location, resulting in the deaths of four militants, including key figures Aziz ur Rehman, Qari Ismail, and Mukhlis, while two others were injured.

Earlier on Thursday, security forces had killed at least six militants attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border into Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province. These operations are occurring amidst a surge in terror attacks in Pakistan, particularly in the KPK and Balochistan provinces, which share a border with Afghanistan.
