Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 21 individuals connected to 17 separate psychotropic drug charges. They have been handed over to investigators for further proceedings.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the arrests were made by the General Administration for Drug Control, which successfully seized significant quantities of various drugs. These include 6.213 kg of hashish, 8.16 kg of marijuana, and 3.11 kg of 'shabu' (methamphetamine). The operation also led to the confiscation of 153 grams of cocaine, 550 grams of a substance referred to as 'chemical,' 10 grams of heroin, 100 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and 20 milligrams of marijuana oil (THC).
Additionally, authorities seized 12,042 Lyrica capsules, 400 Captagon tablets, and 147 other psychotropic tablets. Nine bullets and a total of KD 20,825 (approximately USD 67,550) in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug activities, were also recovered, as detailed in a statement from the Ministry's General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.
