Doha: Director of Basel Al-Sabah Club for Car and Motorcycle Racing Saif Al-Mutairi announced that the club's racers secured advanced positions in the third round of the Arabian Drag Racing League in Qatar. Al-Mutairi emphasized the club's continued success in achieving top placements during the initial rounds of the championship hosted by the Qatar Club for Car and Motorcycle Racing. According to Kuwait News Agency, Fahad Al-Khawari clinched first place in the (Index 9.0) category, followed by Ahmad Al-Yaqoub in second. In the (Index 8.5) category, Ahmad Mal Allah attained second place. The club's racers showed remarkable performance in the bicycle categories as well, with Mohammed Ismail winning first place, Nasser Burbaa second, and Hussein Ashkanani third in the (8.5 for bicycle race) category. In the (Street Bike for Bicycles) category, Musa Al-Balushi emerged victorious by taking first place, while Ahmad bin Bilal secured third. In the (Index 4.8) category, Abdullah Al-Kandari achieved second place, and in the (Index 4.5) category, Abdullah Al-Yassin claimed first place, with Fawaz Karam finishing third. Bader Khorshid and Ammar Hameed took first and second places, respectively, in the (Index 4.0) category. Al-Mutairi also noted that Ahmad bin Bilal triumphed in the (Super Street Bike) category for bicycles. Meshal Al-Sabr won first place in the (Pro Bike) category, while Jaber Al-Maghribi and Turki Al-Dhafiri secured second and third positions, respectively, in the (Super Street pro) category. Jaber Mehawish earned third place in the (Super Street Outlaw) category, and in the (Pro NE) category, Sayed Hussein Al-Haddad achieved first place, with Ali Abbas taking third. The Arabian Drag Racing League commenced in Doha on January 10 and is scheduled to conclude next February.
