Lakki marwat: At least four militants were killed in a security operation in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said the military on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat District of KPK on the reported presence of militants, as stated by the Pakistani army in a press release.
During the operation, Pakistani troops engaged the militants' location, leading to an intense exchange of fire. The military confirmed that four militants were killed during this confrontation.
In addition to neutralizing the threat, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants. These individuals were reportedly involved in various militant activities in the region.
This operation occurs amidst a surge in terror attacks in Pakistan, particularly in the KPK and Balochistan provinces, both of which share borders with Afghanistan.
