Saudi Arabia’s Rarest Honey on Display at Jazan Honey Exhibition

Al-edabi: Al-Majra honey is generating significant interest at the 11th Jazan Honey Exhibition in Al-Edabi Governorate, where it stands out as one of the most sought-after products, drawing attention for its unique connection to the region's mountainous landscape.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this type of honey is sourced from the "Al-Nadgh" flower, a mountain shrub known for the bitterness of its leaves and roots, which makes it unsuitable for grazing. Its blossoms yield a rare type of honey, distinguished by its snowy white color, thick consistency, and sweet flavor.

This unique honey is produced in limited areas, primarily in rugged mountain environments, making it stand out among other local honey varieties. Beekeeper Ahmed Al-Fifi said that Al-Majra honey is among the rarest in the Kingdom, primarily because the plant grows in high-altitude, challenging terrain. He highlighted that the difficult conditions of its origin only enhance its rarity and distinctiveness.
