Qatar Lauds Global Support Amidst Israeli Air Strikes on Doha

Doha: Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Sunday expressed his country's appreciation of the international solidarity shown after the "barbaric" attacks by Israeli Occupation forces on the capital, Doha.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Israeli attacks garnered widespread condemnation from the Arab and Islamic world. The Qatari prime minister conveyed these sentiments during a preparatory gathering, held a day ahead of an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha. He criticized the events as a "flagrant violation" of international laws and principles.

The Israeli air strikes on Doha last Tuesday represent a "dangerous escalation" of violence, seriously undermining efforts to bring peace and stability to the wider Middle East region. The minister emphasized the severity of the situation, noting the impact on diplomatic relations and the broader geopolitical landscape.

The Qatari leadership expressed outrage at the audacity of Israeli occupation forces conducting strikes in "broad daylight," targeting a residential area with schools and diplomatic missions. The prime minister described the attacks as an "act of terrorism" and condemned the Israeli occupation for its "complete disregard" of international humanitarian laws, attributing this to the "extremist ideologies" of the Israeli government's policies.

Foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic states, including Kuwait's Abdullah Al-Yahya, are scheduled to convene for an emergency summit in Doha on Monday. The meeting aims to discuss the recent developments following the Israeli occupation's air strikes on the Qatari capital.
