Doha: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim raised concerns on Sunday regarding what he described as the "blatant Israeli aggression" against Qatar's sovereignty. He stated that this action represents a continuation of Israel's efforts to expand its war reach, destabilize regional security, and violate international charters and laws. His comments were made during a preparatory ministerial meeting for the Joint Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit in Doha, which is set to take place on Monday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Taha stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to hold Israel accountable for its actions against Qatar and its alleged crimes against the Palestinian people, including genocide, settlement activities, and organized terrorism. He urged support for initiatives aimed at enforcing Security Council and General Assembly resolutions to end Israeli aggression and promote a two-state solution.
Taha also praised the efforts of the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, led by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, for their leadership in rallying international responsibility to ensure Israeli compliance with international law.
The meeting was chaired by Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jasem Al-Thani, and included representatives from Arab League and OIC member states.
