Doha: The State of Qatar and the European Union declared on Saturday the launch of negotiations for the implementation of a joint partnership agreement, reported the official Qatar News Agency. The joint declaration was made following a meeting between Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the Doha Forum.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this process represents a forward-looking and ambitious cooperation effort, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between Qatar and the EU. The joint statement emphasized the strength of the Qatar-EU partnership and highlighted the mutually beneficial opportunities for both parties to expand and deepen their cooperation.
