Palestinian Teen Shot by Israeli Occupation Forces in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Governorate announced on Wednesday the martyrdom of a Palestinian teenager who was critically injured after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Thawri neighborhood in Jerusalem. According to Kuwait News Agency, the governorate identified the martyr as Omar Shweiki, 15, who died of severe wounds. Following the incident, the occupation forces reportedly raided the family home in Silwan, located south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Israeli occupation army claimed that the teenager had thrown stones at a military patrol, though local sources indicated that Shweiki was simply residing in the area where he was shot. In related developments, settlers set fire to two vehicles and a storage facility in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus. Earlier on Wednesday, similar acts of arson were reported in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus. Eyewitnesses informed KUNA that Israeli occupation forces at a military checkpoint at the town's entrance obstructed the arrival of firefighting crews. According to Israeli occupation's Channel 12, the occupation army had evacuated an "unauthorized" settlement outpost near Nablus, prompting settlers to retaliate by attacking Palestinian homes in both Huwara and Beit Furik, setting fire to houses and vehicles. All settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are considered illegal under international law. The Israeli occupation often designates settlements built without government approval as "unauthorized," yet provides these with protection and services, eventually recognizing them as official settlements.
