Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi met with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul on Sunday to deliberate on the pressing regional and international issues, primarily focusing on the ongoing escalation in the region due to Israeli occupation aggressions on Iran.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions between the two foreign ministers also encompassed the situation in Gaza, the ceasefire, the conflict in Yemen, and strategies for addressing ongoing conflicts and crises through dialogue and peaceful means. The Omani Foreign Ministry emphasized the commitment of both nations to these discussions in a press release.
Both Oman and Germany reiterated their stance that security and stability cannot be achieved through violence or military solutions. Instead, the path forward involves political negotiations, diplomatic engagement, adherence to justice and international law, and respect for state sovereignty.
