Kuwait City: The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) is set to organize the 24th Kuwait Theater Festival next Wednesday, under the patronage of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. The event promises a rich lineup of activities, including theatrical performances, panel discussions, and workshops. According to Kuwait News Agency, the festival will feature six theatrical performances, panel discussions, and two artistic workshops, as stated by festival director Wael Al-Jaber. A significant highlight of the opening activities, to be held at Dasma Theater, will be the honoring of actress and artist Mariam Al-Saleh for her significant contributions to dramas and theatrical works. Additionally, the festival will honor artist and playwright Ismail Abdullah, the standing committee of GCC countries' bands, and a constellation of playwrights. The judges for the event will also be announced. Dialogues with artists Mariam Al-Saleh a nd Ismail Abdullah are scheduled, providing insights into their artistic journeys. The festival will also include commentary on theatrical performances from a group of artists, critics, and academics during panel discussions in the seminar hall at Dasma Theater. The event is scheduled to run from next Wednesday, December 4, to December 12, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
