Ministry of Information Unveils Volunteer Tourist Guide Service on Sahel

Kuwait city: The Ministry of Information has officially launched the "Voluntary Tourist Guidance" service via the government application "Sahel," aiming to empower citizens to volunteer as tour guides and enhance Kuwait's tourism sector.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this initiative, spearheaded by Minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, is designed to boost Kuwait's tourism appeal by engaging youth in offering cultural experiences. It aims to highlight the national identity and showcase Kuwaiti hospitality, aligning with the country's broader strategy to improve its international image.

The program, in collaboration with Kuwait's Voluntary Work Center, will compile a national database of volunteer guides. These volunteers will participate in events, tours, and visitor welcoming activities in partnership with relevant authorities, ensuring their organized involvement in cultural activities.

Interested applicants can easily register through the "Sahel" app by submitting their resumes. Candidates will then undergo interviews and skills assessments before receiving training to prepare them effectively for their roles.
