Malaysian PM Urges Release of Activists After Interception of Gaza-Bound Flotilla

Kuala lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday strongly condemned Israeli occupation's interception of the "Global Sumud Flotilla" heading to Gaza and urged the immediate release of all Malaysian and international activists detained after the incident.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the flotilla, carrying unarmed civilians and vital humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian people, was met with intimidation and coercion, showing Israeli occupation's blatant disregard for Palestinian rights and the conscience of the international community.

Ibrahim stressed that the flotilla symbolized solidarity, unity, and compassion, carrying hope for Palestinians living under ongoing blockade. He affirmed that Malaysia would pursue legal measures to hold Israeli occupation accountable while remaining firm in supporting Palestinian rights.
