Kuwait’s Sahel App Honored by Arab League, Reflecting Political Support for Digitalization

Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar announced the Arab League's recognition of Kuwait's Sahel App as a significant endorsement of the nation's digitalization efforts.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister highlighted the award as a pivotal step towards enhancing governmental services and fostering integration among various state bodies.

Al-Omar expressed gratitude to the nation's leadership, including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for their unwavering support in the development of digital services. He emphasized that this achievement is a result of collaborative national efforts from over 42 state entities, all striving to create a secure and efficient digital experience.

The minister reiterated his ministry's dedication to advancing the Sahel App's development and improving the overall digital experience for citizens. Yousuf Kathem, Spokesman for the Sahel App, remarked that the accolade is a source of pride for Kuwait's government, demonstrating its continuous efforts to enhance public services through digital means.

Earlier, Kuwait received two awards as part of the Arab Government Excellence Award's fourth edition. The awards were presented at the Arab League Secretariat General's headquarters, with key figures like Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit in attendance. The ceremony also recognized the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Communications for their respective achievements. Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi, Kuwait's Permanent Representative at the Arab League, presented the award shields to the honorees.
