Doha: The U-23 Gulf Cup commenced in Doha, Qatar, with the tournament scheduled from 4 to 16 December. The opening day saw Yemen secure a 2-1 victory over Iraq, followed by the UAE's 2-0 win against Oman.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the tournament will continue tomorrow with Kuwait's national football team facing Qatar in the first match, while Saudi Arabia will compete against Bahrain in the second match. Both games are set to take place at Aspire Stadiums 1 and 2.
The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. Group A consists of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Group B includes Iraq, UAE, Oman, and Yemen.
