Kuwait Rescinds Citizenship of 2,162 Individuals.

KUWAIT CITY: The Supreme Committee to Investigate Kuwaiti Citizenship convened a meeting on Thursday, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. During this meeting, it was decided to revoke the citizenship of 2,162 individuals. According to Kuwait News Agency, The Ministry of Interior issued a press release stating that the committee's decision to strip these individuals of their Kuwaiti citizenship is subject to referral to the cabinet for further action. Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who leads the committee, oversaw the deliberations. This decision marks a significant step in the ongoing review of citizenship status within the country.
