KUWAIT CITY: The State of Kuwait is keen on becoming a regional technology and innovation center through the efforts of youth and business-oriented personnel, Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar affirmed on Thursday. This statement by Al-Omar came during the opening of the three-day “NEXUS” exhibition for technology and innovation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister indicated that the directives of the Kuwaiti leadership and Kuwait Vision 2035 for development called for such events that would boost the national economy, propelling it onto the global scene. He affirmed his ministry’s support of such exhibitions that would bolster cooperation among public and private entities and help promote small and medium-sized enterprises.
Minister Al-Omar emphasized that the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing were important components of the modern state, which sought overall progress, stressing that technological advancement also required a human core a
nd involvement.
The NEXUS exhibition, taking place from December 5-7, will bring together over 60 leading companies from a diverse range of sectors. NEXUS features an expansive exhibition space where attendees could engage with technologies and solutions.
From startups to industry giants, the exhibitors represent the forefront of technological advancements and innovative practices. In addition to the exhibition, NEXUS hosts a series of conferences and workshops led by seasoned professionals. These sessions are tailored to provide attendees with valuable insights, practical knowledge, and opportunities for learning that can be directly applied to their respective fields. Whether it is the latest trends in artificial intelligence, the future of blockchain, or advancements in renewable energy, the conference lineup is designed to inspire and educate.
NEXUS also features the first-of-its-kind Startup Challenge, where 100 emerging startups will compete for six mega prizes totaling KD 30,000, including a grand p
rize of KD 10,000. These startups will present their groundbreaking ideas and business models to a panel of esteemed judges and a captivated audience.
