Tunis: Acting Undersecretary of Kuwait's Interior Ministry, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, emphasized the significance of scientific research in the security sector, highlighting its necessity amid technological advancements impacting various fields. This approach is crucial for both digital transformation in service delivery and combating modern crime techniques.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Interior Ministry released a statement indicating that Al-Adwani delivered these remarks while leading the Kuwaiti delegation at the Board of Trustees meeting for the Prince Naif Award for Arab Security. The meeting took place at the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council headquarters in Tunisia.
Al-Adwani underscored the importance of discussing the meeting's agenda topics to continue establishing foundational principles for the award's development. This effort aims to enhance the quality of submitted research, thereby benefiting security agencies and boosting their capacity to address challenges.
Furthermore, the meeting evaluated the Award's Secretary-General's report on the activities of the General Secretariat since the previous Board of Trustees meeting on January 29. It also considered adopting new arbitration criteria for the award and forming the arbitration committee members.
