Kuwait MoI Detains 115 Residency Violators in Recent Operation

Kuwait city: The General Department of Traffic personnel detained 115 residency violators and three fugitives in a wide-scale operation from the 13th of this month until yesterday (Wednesday). The Ministry of Interior announced in a statement on Thursday that this operation also resulted in the issuance of 3,239 traffic citations and the impounding of two vehicles for breaching traffic regulations.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the operation saw three individuals referred to the traffic station, 58 vehicles seized, and the arrest of three fugitives alongside the 115 violators of residency and work laws. Additionally, twelve juveniles were apprehended for driving without a permit.

The statement further detailed that 36 individuals who failed to present the required documents were referred to police stations. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Interior to enforce residency and traffic regulations in the country.
