Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Washington on Thursday to discuss efforts to support Haiti's security and end the conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip.
According to Kuwait News Agency, they reviewed the efforts to "overcome Hamas's ongoing obstruction of peace in Gaza," as stated in a statement by Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department, Tommy Pigott.
Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Anand also discussed peace negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war and mechanisms to strengthen the hemisphere's response to China's coercive activity, the deputy spokesperson added.
