Kuwait city: Oil Minister Tareq Al-Roumi emphasized Kuwait's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at maintaining stability in the international oil market. He affirmed that decisions made by OPEC+ are determined based on current market developments. This statement was issued by the Oil Ministry following Al-Roumi's participation in the 61st Ministerial Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), which was conducted via videoconference on July 28.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Roumi expressed optimism about the core aspects of the oil market and highlighted that OPEC+ endeavors are focused on ensuring energy security and market equilibrium. He mentioned that the meeting underscored the dedication of member countries to the Declaration of Cooperation, which plays a role in bolstering global economic growth and enhancing investor confidence in the oil sector.
Accompanying Al-Roumi was a delegation that included Kuwait's Governor to OPEC, Mohammad Khudhur Al-Shatti, and Kuwait's National Representative to OPEC, Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
