Cairo: The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Egypt and its Mission to the Arab League hosted a reception to commemorate Kuwait's 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day. The event was attended by Egyptian ministers, senior officials, and ambassadors from various countries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ghanim Al-Ghanim, emphasized the significance of these celebrations, marking an ongoing journey for Kuwait. Al-Ghanim highlighted the depth of Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations, describing them as historical and distinguished. He mentioned recent high-level reciprocal visits that demonstrate a mutual desire to strengthen and broaden their bilateral relations.
Al-Ghanim reiterated Kuwait's support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and acknowledged Egypt's role in facilitating humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. He extended gratitude to attendees and expressed hopes for continued security and prosperity for both nations under their leaderships. Speaking on behalf of Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Sherif Farouk congratulated Kuwait and acknowledged the strong and historic ties between the two countries, emphasizing their cooperation in various fields.
Farouk expressed Egypt's commitment to furthering cooperation with Kuwait, particularly in food security, supply chains, and internal trade. He praised Kuwait's developmental and economic achievements and its contributions to regional and international stability. He also extended congratulations to Kuwait's leadership and people, wishing them continued progress.
Egyptian Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee head Sameh Shoukry and Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber also conveyed their congratulations. They highlighted the importance of the relationship between Egypt and Kuwait, emphasizing mutual respect and cooperation. Secretary General of Egypt's Senate Dr. Ahmad Abdel-Ghani and Egyptian MP Dr. Mohammad Ali echoed these sentiments, expressing pride in the strong ties and the shared commitment to expanding cooperation.
The celebration featured a musical performance showcasing traditional Kuwaiti "Ardhah" folk arts, adding a cultural touch to the event.
