Cairo: Kuwait has been voted in as a member of the Arab Charter on Human Rights Committee for a four-year term, its permanent delegate to the Arab League announced on Sunday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti nominee, who secured the second largest number of votes, will serve alongside counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman to complete the committee's membership, as revealed by Talal Al-Mutairi.
Al-Mutairi noted that Kuwait's election to the committee reflects the trust placed in the nation and highlights its human rights record, which includes the timely submission of a routine report on human rights matters.
