Kuwait Dispatches 26th Humanitarian Aid Flight to Syria with 10 Tons of Food

Kuwait City: Kuwait's 26th humanitarian flight took off on Thursday, heading to Damascus International Airport with 10 tons of foodstuff aid aboard as part of the country's ongoing relief aid campaign, "Kuwait Is by Your Side". The initiative is part of Kuwait's continued efforts to support those in need in Syria through a series of coordinated aid shipments.

According to Kuwait News Agency, today's relief effort was co-organized by the Kuwait Society for Relief and several other Kuwaiti charities, in collaboration with the ministries of social affairs, foreign affairs, and defense. The joint effort underscores the country's commitment to providing essential aid to regions affected by humanitarian crises.

Board Chairman of Kuwait Society for Relief, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saleh, stated ahead of the flight's departure that the charity, alongside other organizations, is dedicated to delivering various forms of relief aid to those in need, following directives from the country's political leadership. He emphasized that the aid, requested by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, aims to alleviate the humanitarian challenges faced by the Syrian population.

This latest shipment marks the Kuwait Society for Relief's seventh flight in collaboration with multiple Kuwaiti charities, bringing the total aid shipments to 136 tons. Kuwait's comprehensive humanitarian assistance to Syria, as part of its relief air bridge, has now reached a cumulative total of 657 tons.
