Kuwait Condemns Israeli Aggression on Qatar and Promotes Military Chief

Kuwait city: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has issued a strong condemnation against what he described as the Israeli flagrant aggression on the State of Qatar. The Amir affirmed Kuwait's unwavering support for the leadership, government, and people of Qatar amidst the ongoing tensions.

According to Kuwait News Agency, an Amiri decree has been issued promoting Major General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Shuriaan to the rank of Lieutenant General. He has been appointed as the Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, marking a significant leadership change within the military.

In a recent cabinet session, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Basel Ahmad Al-Haroun, delivered a visual presentation regarding Fitch Ratings' recent announcement. Kuwait's sovereign credit rating has been maintained at AA- with a stable outlook, reflecting the country's financial stability amidst regional challenges.

Meanwhile, the humanitarian efforts of Kuwait continue as the seventh aircraft of its humanitarian air bridge for Gaza arrived at Marka Military Airport in Jordan. The aircraft carried 10 tons of food and aid, demonstrating Kuwait's ongoing commitment to providing assistance to those in need.

In Doha, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani declared Qatar's firm stance against any violations of its sovereignty. The statement came in the wake of reports of an Israeli occupation assault in Doha, which led to the death of a member of the Internal Security Force, Lekhwiya.

In Cairo, the Arab League has called for stronger partnerships with Russia to advance Arab causes, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian issue as a primary focus for regional cooperation.
