Doha: Malaysia and Australia on Wednesday strongly condemned the Israeli occupation airstrike on a residential building in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday, stressing that this action constitutes a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and poses a threat to international peace and security.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated in a press release that targeting Qatar, a nation pivotal in Middle Eastern mediation and dialogue, displays the Israeli occupation's disregard for peace and diplomacy. Ibrahim emphasized that the attack is indefensible and unacceptable, labeling it a reckless act of aggression that flagrantly violates Qatar's sovereignty, endangers civilians' lives, and risks exacerbating regional instability.
In agreement, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the Israeli airstrike, which targeted the leadership of the Palestinian Hamas movement in Doha, asserting that it violates Qatar's sovereignty and threatens the ceasefire. The Israeli occupation's airstrike on Doha, which aimed at residential quarters housing several leaders of Hamas's political bureau, has sparked widespread condemnation and solidarity with Qatar from Arab and international communities.
