Geneva: Kuwaiti Minister of State for Communications Affairs and Chairman of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council for the current session 2025, Omar Al-Omar, held meetings with Kenyan Minister of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy William Kabogo Gitau and Tanzanian Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology Jerry William Silaa. The discussions took place at the Kuwaiti Mission to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meetings focused on enhancing cooperation and discussing subjects of mutual interest. The ministers also explored ways to reinforce efforts between member states of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council. Earlier this year, Kuwait took over the chairmanship of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council for 2025, succeeding the Kingdom of Jordan.
The Digital Cooperation Organization is a multilateral international entity dedicated to promoting digital prosperity worldwide by facilitating the inclusive and sustainable growth of the global digital economy.
