Kuwait Braces for Cold Wave and Dusty Winds: Weather Alert Issued

Kuwait city: Kuwait is set to experience a cold wave starting Tuesday, accompanied by strong northwesterly winds that could result in dusty conditions and reduced visibility in certain areas, with a possibility of frost early Wednesday. Acting Meteorology Department Director Dharar Al-Ali has issued this weather alert, emphasizing the need for residents to prepare for the upcoming changes.

According to Kuwait News Agency, forecasts indicate the arrival of a stronger high-pressure system, which will cause a noticeable drop in temperatures. Winds are expected to exceed 50 kilometers per hour, potentially raising sea waves above six feet. The weather will range from cool to cold during the day and cold to very cold at night.

Today's temperatures are projected to reach highs between 16-18 degrees Celsius, with lows early Wednesday anticipated to fall between two and five degrees Celsius. Wednesday's highs are expected to be slightly lower, between 13-15 degrees Celsius, with a chance of frost occurring at dawn.

Temperatures are set to rise gradually from Thursday onwards, with expected highs ranging from 18-20 degrees Celsius and lows between six and nine degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions as the cold wave approaches.
