Kuwait Asian Shooting Championship to Kick Off with 17 Teams

Kuwait city: The Kuwait Asian Shooting Championship is set to commence this Friday at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Shooting Complex, featuring the participation of 17 national teams and scheduled to run until November 8. According to Kuwait News Agency, President of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations, Duaij Al-Otaibi, announced at a press conference that the event underscores the attention given by Kuwait's leadership to the sport of shooting. Al-Otaibi highlighted the championship's role as a key preparatory event for next year's Olympic qualification tournaments for the 2028 Los Angeles Games, with intense competition anticipated among skilled shooters. Al-Otaibi also mentioned that the event would be officiated by 15 Kuwaiti referees, in addition to referees from Qatar, the UAE, Morocco, and several Asian countries. Concurrently, Kuwait will host the Asian Shooting Confederation's General Assembly, led by Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Shooting Federati on, Obeid Al-Osaimi, expressed that the Kuwaiti national team is well-prepared for the competition following rigorous training. He conveyed confidence in the team's potential to secure medals and achieve podium finishes.
