Kuwait Participates in Second West Asian Archery Championship in Doha

Doha: The second West Asian Archery Championship commenced at the Lusail Shooting Complex in Doha and is set to continue until November 3. The event features around 100 archers from nine countries, including Kuwait, and began with official training sessions for both Olympic and compound archery competitions. The second day will see the start of the qualifying rounds for these events.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the knockout rounds for Olympic and compound archery and mixed teams are scheduled for Friday. The eliminations will extend into Saturday, focusing on individual competitions in both categories. Obaid Al-Osaimi, Secretary General of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations, emphasized that participation in such tournaments aids in advancing the technical skills of athletes.

Alongside Kuwait and the host nation Qatar, archers from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Jordan, and Syria are also competing in the championship.
