Kuwait city: The Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) led by President Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Humoud Al-Sabah engaged in discussions with Indian civil aviation authorities in New Delhi, headed by the Secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Samir Kumar. The meeting aimed to deepen bilateral cooperation in the aviation sector.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions were conducted in a spirit that reflects the cooperative relationship between the two nations. Both sides recognized the historical ties between Kuwait and India, exchanging views and technical expertise in civil aviation. They also reviewed the latest developments in the air transport market and assessed efforts to advance the civil aviation sector, aligning with passenger aspirations and future requirements.
The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Kuwaiti Ambassador to India Mishal Mustafa Al-Shemali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jazeera Airways Marwan Boodai, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a technical team from the DGCA.
The discussions culminated in the signing of a new memorandum of understanding, which includes provisions designed to benefit the air transport market in both Kuwait and India.
